This dataset contains the Urbanized Area Boundaries (UAB) for all urbanized areas with a population of 50,000 or greater and the all urbanized areas with a population of at least 5,000, but fewer than 50,000 within the state of Georgia. Urbanized Areas (UZA) are defined by the U.S. Census and made up of census tracts. The UABs are created by adjusting and smoothing the Census-defined UZAs to meet the standards set by the Georgia Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.
